Rangeland Health Management Workshops

Rangeland Health Management Workshops have been developed and ongoing with nation members yearly for grazing and managing pasture health. Workshops were implemented in 2018, where 42 Nation Members participated in the workshops that were presented by our Livestock technician, Brent Little Mustache. On going workshops take place as needed.

Objectives:

  • Educate nation members the importance of grass management for our future
  • Give the people tools, range land concepts and evaluation techniques
  • Health assessments provide an idea of sustainability and resiliency
  • Monitoring range land health can highlight the impacts of disturbance, indicate management issues, guide management changes and evaluate outcomes (positive outcomes)
